March 2020 My joint paper Five-year cost-effectiveness analysis of the European Fans in Training (EuroFIT) physical activity intervention for men versus no intervention was published in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity. February 2020 June 2020 My joint book (in Czech) Ekonomické hodnocení ve zdravotnictví: Zaměřeno na duševní zdraví was published. January 2020 I received a prize for an exceptional contribution to research and treatment of Alzheimer's disease in 2019 awarded by the Czech Alzheimer Foundation (cena manželů Strmiskových). 18 December 2019 I took part in the first meeting of the Czech Governmental Mental Health Council that approved the National Action Plan for Mental Health 2020 – 2030. 18 December 2019 I successfully defended my PhD thesis at the University of Economics, Prague. 9 – 12 December 2019 I participated at a WHO Global Meeting to Accelerate Progress on NCDs and Mental Health (SDG 3.4) in Muscat, Oman. 27 – 28 November 2019 I co-organized an international workshop discussing how to embed economic evaluation into decision making on health care system development in Czechia. My joint paper Expenditures on Mental Health Care in the Czech Republic in 2015 was accepted for publication in Psychiatric Quarterly. 13 November 2019 I represented the Czech Ministry of Health at the INFACT conference on big data in heath care in Brussels. 1 November 2019 I started a postdoctoral position in the Department of Health Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. 23– 25 October 2019 I presented the Czech dementia strategy at the Alzheimer Europe conference in the Hague. An article about Czech dementia strategy was published by Dementia in Europe. 1 – 3 October 2019 I attended the course Advanced Simulation Methods at the School of Health and Related Research, University of Sheffield. 18 – 21 September 2019 I led a panel discussion presenting the national dementia strategy to the professional public at the conference Prague Days of Gerontology. The discussion has been summed up (in Czech) by Medical Tribune. The activities aiming to promote dementia awareness on the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day resulted into several media outputs targeting general public, eg Události (time 28:10), 90' ČT24, ČTK. My joint paper Costs of Mental Health Services in Czechia: Facilitating an Evidence-Based Reform of Psychiatric Care was accepted for publication in Applied Health Economics and Health Policy. 14 – 18 July 2019 My joint poster Age Stereotypes Influence Subjective Cognitive Decline Via Depression was presented at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in Los Angeles. 16 – 17 June 2019 I participated at the meeting of governmental experts in the field of dementia organized by Alzheimer Europe in Amsterdam. 7 June 2019 My joint poster Age Stereotypes Influence Subjective Cognitive Decline Via Depression won a best poster award at the 4th Annual Neurology Research Retreat organized by the Department of Neurology, Columbia University. 14 March 2019 I presented an epidemiological and economic aspects of Alzheimer's disease in Czechia within the public lecture series the Week of the Brain (Týden mozku). September – December 2018 I visited the Department of Biostatistics, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University (sponsored by the Fulbright Commission). 10 – 14 November 2018 I presented a contribution Economic Impact of Early Treatment on Lifetime Costs of Alzheimer’s Disease In Czechia at the ISPOR conference in Barcelona. 10 October 2018 I presented my research about measuring cost-effectiveness of Alzheimer's disease early detection at Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. September 2018 My joint paper The Potential Impact of Alzheimer’s Disease Early Treatment on Societal Costs of Care in Czechia: A Simulation Approach was accepted for publication in The Journal of Mental Health Policy and Economics.
